Open the file you want to test. Press Cmd+I (Composer) and type: "Generate a comprehensive test file for @user-service.ts. Use Vitest. Mock all external dependencies. Include happy path, error cases, and edge cases." Cursor creates the test file, imports your module, and writes assertions that match your testing patterns.

In Claude Code

Claude Code has an advantage here: it reads your entire test directory to understand your existing patterns. If your other tests use a specific helper, assertion style, or mock setup, Claude Code matches it automatically.

What AI Tests Miss (And You Must Add)
